Well, Here are some picture that I took over the last couple days. I got scratched by this cat named "Gillette". It didn’t hurt, but looks cool. We also went today to play flag football with our zone and some other Elders from Puente Alto. I got to remember to be careful out there. My legs are killing me. I feel like I’m 40 years old. I pretty much limped all the way here the internet place. The picture of the Temple, we were playing around with the color options to make the sky stand out, but it is a beautiful temple. The last one is of Elder Rasmussen and I. The one that I am running, looking back reminds me of Josh. I thought I was him when I looked at it.

We tried the brownies. They ended up tasting like chewy burnt popcorn. I greased the pan with butter and we only have fire ovens so it doesn´t cook to evenly. We ate them all anyway. The other missionaries really liked them, but I knew better. OH MOM. This past week, we had a mission activity to celebrate the 18th of september. We talked about the gifts that we are going to give the Savior this year for Christmas. We sang a Christmas opening song and everything. I love Christmas. Im excited to have one here. Im going to try to make fun memories here and traditions here. We have baptismal dates for Pedro, Daniela and Sandra Astudillo this coming sunday, the 19th. We are trying to help Sandra stop smoking. We told her yesterday to go home and take all her coffee and cigaretts and throw them away. Pedro just started to work on Sunday, so we are going to have to see whats´s happening there. We are really excited for them. They are really good friends. We really want to help them and it hurts when they choose not to progress. We are excited for them. Please pray for them. The Colonia Adrain family is doing well aslo. They are from Peru. Yesenia got a date to get married this last week. They are getting married the 19th of November, so we are going to set their date for the 21st. I was hoping it was earlier so that I might be able to go to the Temple with them. Those are they who have baptismal dates. We are working here and there with some others, but are putting more of an effort to find more this next week. Also Sandra Ibocache and her son Ignacio have a date for next Sunday because it fell threw this last week. I love Elder Rasmussen. In my interview with President, he said that he felt that I needed to be with him to help him as he ends his mission. Elder Rasmussen told me that President expects him to teach me how to be a leader. President always tells me that I need to be preparing to be a leader of the mission. Last week, Pablo Sanchez was baptized by President Guffra, the stake president. We have a family night, Noche De Hogar with them tonight. This 17th we have a ward activity and the 18th is like the 4rth of July, except for a lot bigger it seems. I love you so much. Keep these wonderful people in your prayers. They need the blessings and lives that come from living the Gospel. I just wish everyone could have a family like mine. I love these people. I really do and just want them to be happy. I love you,, Elder Tilley

Last night we got the call change.......I didn´t think I was going to be moving. I have a new companion, Elder Rassmassen and moved back to my other pesion, where I moved out from when we had special changes. My companion is from Fruit hights Utah. His dad is from Idaho Falls. He has about 20 months in the mission. I really like him. I got a haircut today and listened as he taught one of the ladies in the shop. Ive heard he is a super hard worker. I felt last night that Heavenly Father was going to bless me to be able to enjoy this change. Elder Whitney is training.

The Astudillo family needs lots of prayers. We taught the law of chastity and they found it at first to be rather funny. Not funny, but just funny because they all have problems with it. They understand that it is a commandment and what they need to do, but I think they are scarred to tell their boy and girl friends. Please pray for them to have strength to do what needs to be done and that we may know what and how to teach. Maybe, we can teach the boy and girl friend too.
These last couple weeks, there hasn´t been a time on my mission where I was able to step back for a second and feel how incredibly blessed I am to be the Lord´s servant. I actually represent Jesus Christ in my sector and my companion and I are the only ones authorized by God to teach his people despite the megaphones and little rallies that claim to know Christ. I know it also has been really really hard as well, but am thankful for it.
I love being a missionary and know that Heavenly Father is blessing this ward. This last Sunday, I really enjoyed being with the ward. We are growing in numbers and in unity. We had a record assistance this past Sunday...81. Bishop asks me to sit at the door and count during the meeting. I know this is the Lord´s work, and I’m being obedient to qualify for his wonderful blessings. I have been studying the Book of Mormon chronology these last two weeks and I love it. I´ve known the stories growing up, but have never seen how they all played in together. I have felt "scripture power" in my life these last two weeks as I have really dug in to understand how it all works. It is so so interesting now. We have talked to investigators recently that have been faulting on their scripture reading, specifically the Book of Mormon. They have both expressed how different their weeks have been when they read and when they do not. Daniela said that the whole week she didn´t read, she just got mad easily. It can be as simple as that. It keeps her from getting mad. I love them and miss them. Love you Brother, Elder Tilley
